I was so happy to join in on the fun at the California All-State Music Educator's Conference this year presenting a short version of my recent video series "The Basics of Jazz Drumset for Music Educators." We had a great time playing grooves together, decoding some sheet music, and addressing the mysteries of the hi hat (among other things).
